迈克尔•佩蒂斯（Michael Pettis），北京大学光华管理学院金融和经济学教授，卡内基亚洲项目驻北京高级研究员，具有华尔街及欧洲的金融从业经历，主要研究领域为中国金融市场。迈克尔•佩蒂斯自1987年起开始在华尔街工作，当时受雇于汉华银行（现合并为摩根大通银行）的政府债务项目，工作领域涉及贸易、资本市场以及公司财务；1996年至2001年，在贝尔斯登公司任拉丁美洲资本市场及债务管理组的主管。2002年至2004年曾任教于清华大学经济管理学院，著有《波动的机器：新兴经济体和金融崩溃的威胁》（The Volatility Machine: Emerging Economies and the Threat of Financial Collapse）（牛津大学出版社，2001） 。
